Housekeeping Team Leader

Hotel Give, Full Time

We are looking for a Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team on a full-time basis of 30-40 hours per week who would like to be part of our new hotel.

We are open seven days a week and you must be flexible to work weekends and public holidays.


  • Daily allocation of housekeepers, taking a hands-on role in assisting with the daily workload as necessary.
  • Conducting thorough and detailed inspections of all vacant clean guest accommodation rooms prior to the arrival of incoming guests, ensuring standards have been met and providing feedback to housekeepers.
  • Communication with reception in relation to room changes, arrivals & departures.
  • Liaising with and reporting any maintenance requirements for guest accommodation and public areas with the Maintenance Manager and monitoring these requests to ensure timely follow through.
  • Hands on training of all Housekeeping personnel through the use of Training Programs, Operational Checklists, and Procedures.
  • Follow the hotel’s cleaning procedures and use the correct cleaning materials when servicing and cleaning guest rooms.

Y Wainui Park is looking for a Camp Cook who is passionate about providing quality meals to our wide and diverse client groups, including school, community and corporates.

Is your food nutritious and delicious? Will children devour it and ask for more? Do you enjoy working with a vibrant team of like-minded people?

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in catering for large groups and events, have excellent customer service skills, knowledge of budgeting and managing food costs, ordering and stock control, have excellent food hygiene practices, have experience catering for special dietary requirements and managing a small team, whilst having the ability to work alone.

Holiday Programme Supervisors


We are always looking for passionate, outgoing and reliable individuals to supervise our busy school holiday programmes!

We need supervisors that are at least 20 years of age, have a current First Aid Certificate, and have a good understanding and experience of working with young people.

We currently run active, creative, performing and general programmes, which you will help create, plan and develop.

This is full time work while school holidays are running, with up to 6 hours of additional paid training prior to the programme starting.

Holiday Programme Volunteers


Working on a holiday programme is a fantastic way to develop leadership skills and gain experience working with people. Holiday programmes are a huge amount of fun and a very valuable way to give back to the community and gain invaluable skills. Each school holiday period the Y runs up to 8 different programmes all over Christchurch City!

As a volunteer leader you will work as part of a team, alongside and experienced supervisor, to run the programme. You can expect to get involved wi the kids, manage your group and the behaviours, role model a positive attitude and have a great experience!

Some of the activities you may be involved in are: movies, tenpin bowling, mini-golf, swimming, Antarctic Centre, sports, art & crafts, outdoor adventure days, indoor climbing and the list goes on! You will be required between the hours of 8:30am to 5pm, and must be 15yrs or over.
