Calling Year 12 & 13 students

be part of Grapple23

If you are a maker who can take a 3D printer, a soldering iron, and a bunch of components and end up with a drone flying around or a lunar rover, Grapple23 is perfect for you! Based at the Y’s youth technology space, the 4C Centre, these week long camps are an opportunity to tackle some real world issues and challenge yourself to come up with solutions.

We’re trying to find the best young maker in the country, if you think you can compete against the best Year 12/13s from all across Aotearoa then apply here for this amazing opportunity. Full scholarships are provided for all successful applicants – no cost for flights, accommodation, meals or materials. Participants will stay onsite in hotel accommodation and have 24/7 access to the makerspace.

Two Grapple23 maker camps are running in Christchurch in July, with prize money up for grabs for both weeks.

Are you the next:

Mark Rober?
Simone Giertz?
Stuff made here?
Xyla Foxlin?

Prize money:

$1500 will be awarded to the winning design from each week.
