Pilates provides a balanced blend of strength and flexibility training, engaging the mind and conditioning the whole body.
Pilates works several muscle groups simultaneously through smooth, continuous motion with a particular focus on strengthening the core or “power house” (abdominal, back and pelvic areas).

Challenge your mind and body with a class that combines ballet-inspired moves with elements of pilates, dance, yoga and strength training.
The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements.
Also, don’t be surprised if your class incorporates light handheld weights to bring the burn during all those reps, as well as mats for targeted core work. Suitable for all levels.
